Rumi Quotes: Rumi, in full name Jalal al-Din Rumi, also called alal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi, also known as Mevlânâ/Mawlānā, Mevlevî/Mawlawī. He was a Persian poet, Islamic scholar and Sufi from Greater Khorasan on 13th century.

The great poet Rumi was born on September 30, 1207, in Tajikistan, Afghanistan.

Rumi's father, Baha ud-Din Walad, and mother was Mu’mina Khatun. Bah ud-Dīn Walad was a theologian, jurist and a mystic from Balkh.

Rumi married to Gowhar Khatun in Karaman, they had two sons Sultan Walad and Ala-eddin Chalabi. Rumi married again when his first wife died, and they had a son, Amir Alim Chalabi, and a daughter, Malakeh Khatun.

Rumi wrote many books on his life these are Masnavi, Diwan-e Shams-e Tabrizi, Fihi Ma Fihi and many others.
